ABOUT

“Often contradiction is the clearest way to truth” – Patti Smith

I find truth in my duality: a dedicated feminist that raps along to YG, pairing a sundress with Doc Martens, atop a tattooed exterior which serves as shield to a very gentle heart. I find that life isn’t so black and white – there’s a whole spectrum of color in between! It’s within this vibrant range that the complexity of humanity and the rawness of life flourishes; it’s here that I strive to create safe spaces for people to feel heard, supported and empowered.

I am dedicated to utilizing design to uplift and highlight a fluid society. Since 2014, I’ve been committed to developing my skills and experiencing what it means to be an effective, empathetic designer. I aspire to strengthen my skills while keeping my values and the spirit of creativity at the center of all I do.

Through attaining both my Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree, exploring a range of diverse career endeavors, and seeking community and connection through various outreach ventures, I have come to understand the importance of designing, not just for the audience, but with the audience. I try not to design as if I’m saying, “I understand.” Instead, I aim to create, craft and emphasize with the assurance that, “I am listening.”

It’s my core belief that design is not just a platform to make something pretty, it’s a tool to translate deeper meaning and purpose, and an avenue towards building a better, healthier future. With my creative skills and design platforms, I aim to help make this world a unified and equitable place for all.
